Here in SC, the teacher(parent) needs a high school diploma. The only documents I'm required to keep are attendance records. Also, find out what the college your child thinks they'd like to go to requires for completed courses (i.e. foreign language (1or 2yrs.), how many years of English, etc.).

I use ABeka home school dvd program for both my high school kids. I find ABeka the easiest for them to follow.

As too home school assoc., see if any have a local phone number to call. I found this the easiest way to find a local assoc.

Do your high school kids like being home schooled? Do they miss out on a lot of fun teenage school functions that way? I am asking because my son is in Jr. High and while he LOVES it I absolutely hate the public school system. He did charter school for 1-6 so I am looking into alternative schooling for him.
