I don't think Bush was perfect by any means. I did vote for him, but I never agreed with everything he did. And in all honesty, I don't think I will ever agree with everything any President does or says.

Here's my scenario about ACORN. This may be way simple or stupid thinking but here goes:

If I went to the same store in 5 states and bought the same item at each one, and the clerk tried to overcharge me or scan an expensive item twice, consistently, at each one of the different stores, I'd be a little pissed. Then in my mind I would think, "dang, I'm not shopping there anymore because they try to get one over on me every time........" I think that's where everyone is coming from on ACORN. Maybe not every cashier would have charged me twice for that expensive item, but since it did happen to me (hypothetically) at each store, I would not be giving them my business anymore, I would have a bad taste in my mouth for that store based on my personal experience with them. I hope that example didn't sound stupid and at least was understandable from where I'm coming from.
That's an excellent example! Let's say your store was Walmart and even though you had some good experiences with Walmart those 5 other ones would make you wonder about the whole corporation.

So Catherine I don't think anyone thinks anyone is perfect. Especially in politics, unfortuantely, you will always find some corruption. I still like President Bush. I still respect him for standing firm in his beliefs and doing what he thought was best. I don't feel he strayed from what he believed in.
