The child discipline "secret" they showed on 4 real families before and after (had nothing to do with weightloss) was for parents to eliminate negative comments and criticism and replace it with 'catching the child doing something right and complementing them on it, setting up a rewards system (like sticker board) for doing things right, and ignoring bad behavior (walking away or turning around). Really worked for these 4 low income families they showed. Seems the kids reacted to criticism with more negativity, and they just wanted attention, even negative attention.

I think the program was like a primetime or nightline type - it was to be their next show.
