I watch a lot of shows on t v where people are buying houses and they never mention association fees or rules. Does anyone out there have to pay them other than the state of Maryland?
I myself have lived in this house long before they were invented but most new neighborhoods and some of the older ones have rules as to what color and fencing and outdoor stuff you can do with your property. They also have condo fees for condos. Some of these can run several hundred dollars a month and they are forever. If you are in one of these associations you forfeit your right to chose a lot of stuff concerning your property and the majority rules.
