I would think there would be good points on both sides. If you just watch closely on the news, expecially when there is a fatal domestic, or a drub bust, you can see the wierd things some people will do to their property. I don't "think" I would like to live in a place with HOA and rules, but I am well aware what type of neighbors you can wind up without them. I am sure a lot of it depends on what area you live in and what type of house you can afford.
