Except that if the physican's moral compass points to the doing away with a fetus as being *harm*, then he cannot morally remove it from it's mothers body.
ETA: I understand your point about the policeman, but guess I see a different match-up on the analogy. Just like I do think a Dr. should perform necessary *tests* on a patient and then refer them on if the patient's desired procedure falls outside his moral compass, I think the policeman you noted should be doing what he is doing in following through with investigations, etc.
However, I would never require that policeman to be part of the firing squad that carries out that legal penalty.
