Menopause help

I hope this is the right forum for this. If not, I am sorry...

In another thread, I was talking about stress and the fact that hot flashes and menopause in general do not help when going through a major problem in your life. I was wondering if anyone had any advice, tips, tricks, whatever to help with the hot flashes and mood swings? Hubby is about to walk out the door if I don't "chill" as he says. I am just kidding about him leaving, but I know this has to be hard on him. I am just starting this and already I am dying here. They don't last long..just a few minutes maybe 2 or 3, but they come on fast and hit hard. I have a piece of cardboard with me at most times that I can just grab and use as a fan. But does anyone have anything I can try to minimize the effects? The night sweats aren't really bad yet, just like the hot flashes during the day, just at night lol.

Thanks
