Thanks so much. I think the first one was what my stepmother used, however I think I will try the second one. If anyone makes this type of frosting, it's better to make the frosting the night before. Bake cake, cool, split layers and add filling. Store the cake in the refrigerator over night or at least 4 or 5 hours before serving.
