We would have one each year at our December bunco. Everyone brings as many batches as they want (usually 2-3 batches) and place them on the table. Then we all go around with a container (tray or tin, etc) and chose the cookies we want. Everyone takes as many as they brought. If you bring 2 dozen, you would take a total of 2 dozen. The best part is that you come home with a nice variety of cookies instead of just one or two types that you would have baked. My family loves when I go!
