Ok.............I finally got it. I'm sure you can add/delete ingredients to your own liking. I have no idea why, but I REALLY loved these. Maybe it was here "special touch" like most mom's have! LOL
These are her direct words.
It is very simple . I start with Stove Top Stuffing mix, (2 boxes) either chicken or turkey, and chop up a generous amount of onion and 2 or 3 stalks of celery, then I add 1 tbl. of poultry seasoning . When bringing the water to a boil, have the celery and onion in it. Then add the seasoning that comes with the stuffing mix + poultry seasoning. When it has cooked the amount of time listed on the box, I dump it in a dish, add a lightly beaten egg and form patties (saving some for in the bird) and put them on a greased cookie sheet or shallow pan. If they seem too dry to hold the patty form, either add another egg or a little milk. These can be made ahead of time and about 30-40 minutes before eating , put them in the oven for that amount of time. Adjust time for temp you have your oven set at . If it is set at 350, then it will take about 30-40 minutes. I like to boost the temp up to 400 for the last 10 minutes. Just play it by ear. It isn't as complicated as this implies because you start with a mix. I always make a real little one for testing to see if it is a wee bit crunchy on the outside.
