I would also suggest the Dollar Tree. They have coloring books, crayons, water colors, paper, puzzles, books, workbooks, bubbles, bubble bath, comb & brush sets, barrettes/headbands, etc., candy for the stockings, they also have some DVD's and VHS tapes not sure of the selection for kids but I have purchased some before. When I was in there the other day they also had 3 packs/pairs of kids socks, hats, scarfs, mittens/gloves, purses, tote bags, stickers. Like everyone else said, at that age, they really don't remember what they got, just that they had presents to open. My opinion only, but this is the age where you have to take advantage of being able to get them less because the older they get, the more they seem to want. My DD is 14 and some of the things on her Christmas list are a laptop, IPOD, digital camera, DVD's, CD's, clothes, shoes (usually Nike), LOL. Which she already has a Zune and a digital camera but she wants different ones "cooler ones" LOL. Her list is 2 notebook pages long (so I have plenty of things to choose from) LOL. She still won't be getting the laptop, been on her list for 3 years now, LOL and we keep telling her maybe when you get in high school.
