I think this stuff holds a lot of memories for everyone and everyone loves it including the druggies. Both my dd's (teens) love hot topic stuff, care bears, stawberry shortcake and rainbow brite. Clairs, Anchor Blue & hot topic are their favorite stores. My dd did find out after wearing her $49 rainbow brite t-shirt (from Hot Topic) to school that rainbows mean you're gay. She came home and told me she could care less if that's what it means, she thinks it's cute. Both girls love the sweatshirt and really want those cute t-shirts. They both got care bears for Christmas from grammy and have baby dolls, barbies, disney lithographs, puppies/kitties, hello kitty or whatever's cute posters in their rooms.

My girls are good kids (honors, dance team, sports, etc) and don't go to any functions unshaperoned or elsewhere without us so it goes to show these stores and items are for everyone ...just cause the punks & druggies like them doesn't mean we can't too and we should't be too quick to put people in some category cause they like it or shop at hot topic.
