It depends on the seeds you want to plant. Read on the back of the packages to determine how long it takes to sprout and to produce. That should give you an idea of when it needs to be planted in your area.

We have started tomatoes ,peppers, onions, lettuce, kale,and swiss chard inside. Last frost here is April 1th BUT we have had frost as late as May 9th. The cool weather crops (kale , chard, lettuce ) will go out side in early April. Tomatoes end of April and peppers early May... hope this helps

It's still way too cold here to start spring/summer stuff. It still gets down in the thirties overnight. And we may get snow next week according to tonight's weather forecast.

Impressive. You must have a lot of land for a massive garden. You surely must can all those tomatoes. I like to try my hand at different varieties of ornamental gourds. I had success last year with planting them along a fence they could grow. This year I am going to try a turban gourd (beautiful larger gourd that looks like a turban worn on the head). We'll see how that goes this year.
