Seeds

Have you bought any seeds yet? I guess I have spring fever. I stopped at Lowes today and bought some dragon tongue beans (planted some last year and they were good...and fun!), various colors of carrots, and some gourds (never planted them before).

What are you dreaming about?

Every year I have intentions of starting a veggie garden but never follow through. I do plan on buying some small pampas plants on ebay though. I think it would be pretty outlining our property since we still can't afford a fence

I have a couple of old lilacs that send out *suckers*. I dug up 18 last year and planted them along the front of our property. It'll take years for them to grow and fill in, but it's free

I'm ready!! I've bought all the seeds; pumpkins, zucchini, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, hungarian peppers, jalapeno peppers, red and green peppers, green and yellow beans, spinach, lettuce, eggplant, radish, kohlrabi, tomato, acorn squash, 3 varieties of sunflowers, marigolds, dill, basil, curled and italian parsley, and corn. I still need to get potatoes and onion plants. *IF* Dh gets the side yard done, we'll be planting grapes and strawberries.

I'm so excited, and cannot wait to start my plants!!

Ever think of looking on Craigslist for a fence? You might even get a free one.

I have been doing gourds and mini pumpkins for three years now. (Last year I didn't get much).
Plant them along a wire fence we have and try to remember to water them! Also, one or two grape tomato plants. Last year had just one mammoth plant that gave me an abundance of grape tomatoes all summer.
Wish I had more room for a real garden
