How much is glass? I have a half moon on my front door and cover it with a valance. Mostly because the 6 footers in my house like to peek out when the door bell rings. My back door is almost half glass. I have no kitchen windows so light is important. On the top panes, I use a window film. This is great stuff. You can get decorator designs (stained glass etc.). It lets the light come in beautifully, but affords privacy. |

I used frosted glass in spray can and it covers nicely if you do it a few times, but I like what the above posted is talking about I have never saw window film sounds like it be easier to remove if you get sick of it. |

If you were to cut in door in half horizontally, it take up about 3/4 of that half. Where do you get window film? I have Lowes, Walmart and Target near me. Any of those places carry it? What type of rod can you attach to a door to hang a curtain?

You can find Window film at Home Depot, so I would imagine you could find it at Lowes. Look in the dept. that carries curtains, blinds, etc. On my metal door, I use a magnetic rod. You can get them at Target, Walmart, etc. On wooden door, Use a basic rod, depending on the type of valance. Usually a simple cafe rod will suffice; just buy the shorter ones. |

My front door is almost all glass except for the frame that holds it together and a friend of mine works in a fabric place where they custom make shades, blinds and many more items. She made me a few blinds different fabrics and textures with the door measurement and you choose if you want it half open, all open, closed whatever your taste is, but it's great because it matches my livingroom colors every time I switch it around every 2 months

We just put up limo window tint. Dh and I couldn't agree on the window film lol!! I've also seen decorating shows where they used contact paper. And a friend of mine does that faux stained glass painting on her windows and it looks great!
