Lawn care

Spring is just around the corner, and I wanted to buy some turf feed and weed killer..we spent close to a thousand dollars last year on a new front lawn..so I want it to look nice. I guess I'll end up buying Scott's, even though it cost more. It is consistant and easy to use. One bag should do my front lawn and it will cost about $15. I guess I shouldn't complain. We have a HUGE back yard , however.. For that I may buy one of those attach to the hose and spray on weed killers. We did not sod the back yard, it has grass...but a LOT of weeds !

what do you use ?

We built here 3 years ago this summer, and it was literally a pasture when we built (we have several acres). Spent the entire 1st year picking up rocks, tearing down barbed wire fencing and building privacy fence, etc. It finally looks like a lawn but we have the serious weed issue still. We haven't treated it with anything yet. Let me know if that stuff works. At our old home (on a lot) we had plugged it years ago with zoysia and wow was it beautiful. We may try to do some of that in our front yard to get it started. It will kill all the weeds and is luxurious (love to walk through it barefoot); you have to mow less too. Right now there's just too many projects though. But I am also thinking about buying some weed & feed or the likes for now.

I saw an ad for the zoysia plugs and it seemed easy to do. I may see if I can do that with my front yard. We have fescue, but the majority of it has been taken over by clover and other weeds. It's looking pretty bad.
