| Help with Vintage Waffle Iron
I recently got a vintage (1950's?) Westinghouse waffle iron from the thrift store. Never in my life have I owned one. Of course, it came with no instruction manual.
The inside is cast iron, not the teflon in modern waffle irons. What is the secret to producing a successful waffle? We tried twice; first time near disaster and second time much better, but not quite. I did use a non stick spray, so that is not the issue. Maybe the temp not hot enough?
Anyone who has experience with these, please give me a tip or two.
