what to do? Can you help my mom.

I have never had a nonpayer so I need your help for my mom.
A lady bid and won a $150.00 jewelry item ebay auction. A lady bid on it and the auction ended. Mom sent out the invoice and was waiting for her to pay. The lady then sent her a question about the item, after auction had ended. Then the next day the lady sends this to mom.

hi i just got back from the dr i have to go in for emergency surgy i am not going to be able to buy this bracelete fronm yopu i do apolize i wanted to keep up my 100 percecnt feedback this is really a beatiful bracelete but i dont know how long i will be in the hospital so please relist it so you can sell it and get your money i am so sorry had i know i had to have surgy i would not have bid on it thanks and im so sorry for the incovience

I checked her bidding and she has been bidding on and winning many items up to the 19th (the day she sent the question about the item after she had already bid). Name brand items, not too terribly high dollar things. A desktop computer, dooney & bourke purses and wallets and keychains, household items.

What does my mom need to do? Thanks

Just checked and she is also a seller and she has auctions going on now that don't end for a day or so. Looks like she buys the items @ cheaper price on ebay and resells them back on ebay.

I would say your mom just needs to file a Non-Paying Bidder complaint against her and be done with it. You can't make her pay. You also can't leave her negative feedback. He excuse is obviously BS and almost as bad as her spelling and grammar. Your mom should relist the bracelet. She'll get her fees back from the initial sale after the NPB. I would also block the woman from bidding on any future auctions.

Renee, how does she file the non paying bidder complaint? Does she have to wait certain amount of time? Thanks

She has to wait 7 days. There is a link for the "Security and Resolution Center" in the "MyEbay" page on the right side under the search box. One the next page, at the bottom left is a link under "Contact Us" to "Report a Problem". Click on that, then on the next page, click the button for "Unpaid Item". You will have to fill in the auction number and then the details of the dispute (Buyer will not pay), and in about a week (I think), they will refund the fees.

This should link to the "report a problem" page:
eBay Security Center: Report A Problem

I hope this helps.
