EBay and income tax ?

Greetings!
I've done fairly well on EBay this year, and am just wondering...Do I need to claim my income on my taxes? I have kept records with details of each sale, so I know exactly what I've made..Will the IRS demand a cut of that?
Thanks for any expertise!
J.

If you made money, yes , you are supposed to report it. If you sold items at a loss, you have no income to report.

i know ebay reports it to the irs if you make a certain amount. i sell on ebay also and have for a couple years now. i dont claim it because they are my items that im selling, also my familys. just like i dont claim what i sold of our items in the yard sale. or resale shops.

Just like annasmama said you only have to report "income". So if you have a sweater that cost you $40 and you sell it for less than $40 you have no income.
On the other hand if you buy a coin or stamp for $2 and sell it for $500 you have income that legally needs to be reported.
