Just airing out...

I won an auction to pay someones electric bill. 10 percent went to charity, the rest to this couple who needed financial help. I did look into them and they were real etc. Not positive they needed money that bad but it was only 20.00.
The bid started at 20.00. No one else bid so it ended at that.
My airing out part is..no feedback was left for me. Isn't that a bit rude? I don't have that much money myself but my husband has a job, hers was laid off so I wanted to help a bit. That is just my nature. My husband was laid off last year and I know it is hard. But if I ever had to outright ask for money, I would say thank you. Even if just in an email. Nothing.
That's my airing.
Merry Christmas

Have you left them feedback? Sometimes that starts the process for the seller.

I haven't received anything to give feedback for. I bid to help pay their electric bill.
I know when I sold things on ebay I left feedback immediately when the buyer paid since without them, I wouldn't have sold the item, nor had the extra money, no matter how little.
This went to them through my being charitable and I thought I would at least get an email saying thanks.

I agree with you Terry. If you handed someone something they would (for the most part there are still clueless people out there) thank you. I have sent out RAOKs here to members and never heard a word --not whether item was received nor a thank you--. Once I sent a lady two $10 GCs for gas and then posted a thread about this and I was surprised at the number of mycouponers that felt it was ok to not acknowledge in any way something that was mailed to you.
I don't know if people are just rude or clueless or selfish. But it seems the public has taken on a new fondness for rudeness, lying, and idiocy.

There does seem to be a lack for graditude and manners. They should have left you feedback. I know when someone gives me something I am always so grateful and my children always say thank you as well. People seem to have a sense of entitlement and blame the world for their problems so when someone does give them something they feel feel entitled to it and not be thankful. Seen it way too many times to count.

Terry.. leave feedback that says You're welcome! Maybe they will get the clue....

I actually had to email her through ebay and ask for feedback and don't know if I would have received it if I didn't.
