What do I do - Seller not shipping my item

I don't eBay much but I won an auction for a board game - guesstures on May 6th and paid by paypal on May 7th (also paid for shipping insurance). After waiting for a week, I emailed the seller to ask when I should expect my item - no reply. Since then have emailed him 3 more times but he is not replying. Its been more than 2 weeks since payment - should I report him to eBay? If so, how do I do it? As I mentioned earlier, I don't eBay much and haven't had trouble for my few auctions won.

Before I bid on this game, I emailed the seller with a question to which he promptly replied.

The seller has lots of other current auctions - most of them bidded on. I don't know what to do. Please advise. Thanks

You can file a complaint with PayPal for non-receipt. The complaint notification motivates many sellers to finally respond. If he can't prove delivery, you will automatically win. They give the seller 10 days to respond to the complaint.

File the 'Item Not received" dispute at Paypal.

If no immediate refund, escalate to a claim.

DO NOT CANCEL the claim based on any seller promises. You must get your game or refund. Once you close the claim, it can't be reopened.

Once I opened a dispute with Paypal, the seller responded the next day. He says he's not getting any emails (he suddenly got one from pp, huh?), then he says he was waiting to hear from me about an issue I didn't even raise. I emailed him asking what about the payment confirmation he got from paypal + the funds added to his account + an email from eBay about the won auction - why didn't he mail my item then? I have asked him to cancel my auction and refund my money since he hasn't mailed my item yet anyways but now he is not replying again.

I gave him until tonite to refund my $$ but so far, nothing, no email, no communication. Should I leave a negative AND escalate to a claim or should I wait some more?

Please advise.

Go ahead and go through with the claim. You dont give him any time on this one. The claim stays until you get your money back from paypal, or until you get the item in the mail, no ifs ands buts about it

Btw, it might actually be that he isnt getting your emails, but if you use the Send Message to Seller link through your auction, he will get those as they will be on his ebay account then. So try to contact him using that and see if he responds, but under no circumstances do you cancel the claim until you get the item or your money back.

But right now I am writing to him via the paypal issue center, so he should be seeing them when he logs into his pp account. anyways, he hasn't paid till this morning so I am going ahead with a claim. Unbelievable what people do after getting money! And he has a 99.2% feedback rating, I thought that was good enough

Excellent advice above... Proceed with the claim until you get your refund. If you do receive the package, you can always resubmit payment or write 'refused' on the package BEFORE opening and hand it back to your postal carrier so that it will be returned to the seller at no extra charge for return shipping.

Sellers with poor communication, yuck.

I just went ahead and filed a claim. The seller somehow has a couple of negatives from buyers with low numbers (status) after I won the auction; mine is just 10 or so, I wonder if he thinks he can rip off simpletons with not much eBay experience. I may not have much experience, but simpleton I am not!!

Let's see what happens. The amount is not much but its a matter of ethics.

Teach this jerk how to treat customers.

They think you'll just let them poop on you for small amounts. Prove them wrong.
