| I am so pi@@ed off right now !!! LONG
Ok, I was going out of town for a few days and saw an auction I wanted to bid on. So I put my max bid in. Auction ended May 7th--I was top bidder--YEAH !! Anyhow, I get back into town and send paypal on morning of May 9th--less than 48 hours after auction ended. I did not receive my package so I go into Ebay and send the seller a question--keep in mind that this was the last auction I bid on, won and paid for in the last few weeks, so I have not been on my computer much. So, I get this nasty email from the seller asking me why I am harassing her that my paypal was refunded. HUH ???? So I go back and look into my Ebay messages. She sent me one on May 7th AFTER the auction ended saying she must receive my payment within 24 hours and then I get another one from her on the 8th (less than 12 hours later) saying that she did not receive my payment so the auction was going to second chance bidder and DO NOT pay for this auction. Well. like I stated to you guys earlier, I paid immediately when I got back into town, not even reading my Ebay emails, just went thru Paypal and paid. After I questioned her, she says (in caps) YOU ARE NOT THE WINNING BIDDER--I TOLD YOU NOT TO PAY FOR THIS AUCTION. What the heck ?? Can she do that ?? NO WHERE in her original auction listing did it say payment required immediately, within 24 hours, within 5 days--NOTHING--until I saw the email sent after the auction. Still shows on my Ebay page that I am the winning bidder. So I filed at Ebay and of course, have heard NOTHING back and it has been 5 days. I also did a complaint with Paypal. Oh she refunded me PART of Paypal, but I paid $144.72 (with shipping) and she emails me back $137.00 (minus the Paypal fees) so I only got $132.xx back. When I questioned that, she once again complained to me and filed a claim at Paypal AGAINST me stating she refunded my money. Ok, well where is ALL of my money ??? I even emailed her and explained how she could have just clicked on the refund link at the bottom of the page and ALL of my money would have been refunded--neither of us charged fees. She responds to that email with a Paypal told me I did not have to refund the fees. Again, HUH ??????? I emailed her the Ebay seller non compliance page--the one that says a seller is doing a big no no by not accepting money for a winning bid. I sure hope Ebay steps up and does something. AND I so badly want to leave her negative feedback, but because it shows me as the winning bidder on the auction page, she could NEG me right back and I have 100% positive feedback (been buying and selling for 7 years). Is there any automated feedback thing that can leave feedback about 30 seconds before the 90 days is up ???? I called Paypal and talked to them. The guy laughed and told me I had one loony chick on my hands. He offered to refund the $12.xx, but it would be a courtesy thing from Paypal. I told him thanks that I appeciated the offer, but there was NO WAY this whacked out seller was gonna make $12.xx off of me. (Paypal would not have taken any $$ from her.) He understood and said he agreed that I hold out. I told him it was just the principal. I am SO pi@@ed !!! Not only am I out an auction I really wanted, but I did everything right and this seller sold it right out from under me and THEN keeps part of my $$$$. Oh, LOL, then she emails and tells me that I better not even think about bidding on any more of her auctions !! As if........ |

I truly understand your frustration. ![]() I agree with Dolls' comment. Maybe it is a good thing to not have to deal with this seller anymore. Who knows what you would have received in the mail or how things would have progressed if she HAD waited for your payment. Wow. I can not believe that she expected payment in less than 24 hours. PayPal rule is 7 days. That is an incredibly impatient seller!!! Hopefully you can find the item for a good price elsewhere. |

She must have needed the money for her pills....KWIM? Well, at least she gave you most of your money back......I have one still out there who just closed there account...still dealing with that mess!

| LOL... Good one.Sometimes sellers set their terms up so that they are unrealistic for buyers. Is this a newer seller? I always wait the full 7 days and honestly don't even stress about it all anymore. I'm really patient now but it took me a few years to get to this point... I now just go through the motions of filing Unpaid Item Form and then Final Value Fees request without getting upset (no matter the excuses and/or lines of bull that the buyer feeds me) -- eBay has the process in place. It's easy and effective if used correctly... This calmness only came after years of really getting upset though. I finally learned that the energy spent was really not worth it if I was dealing with a *flake*. Your seller REALLY messed up by doing this to a PAYING buyer! |

She really deserves a double whammy from you, but you have to decide if you'd rather take Paypal's offer. If not: 1. Refuse her payment so the 'refund' goes back eliminating the fees. 2. File an 'item not received' dispute and escalate to get a full refund w/o paying fees to accept it. |

This sounds like a lost cause, no matter the outcome, you won't be getting the item you wanted. I would personally just take the offer from paypal, be made whole again and leave it at that. If you neg her, she will neg you back and she is out the $12 in fees (she didnt get to keep your $12) so just let paypal manually make you whole agian thru a refund from them. (i mean afterall they collected $12 in fees on a transaction that didn't take place). Just take your refund and go on with it.. |

The "Item Not Received" dispute would be initiated from your original payment. I like this suggestion, partly because, it might even be a fight to get that $12 refund from PayPal. And because your seller needs to learn to learn a lesson... be patient with your buyers and learn how PayPal works! I still wonder if this is a newer seller? |

Unless it's a BIN item, 48 hours is no time at all. I usually wait two weeks after an auction ends before filing an unpaid item, but that's just me. I've had some weird ones with the USPS, so if payment is being mailed it can take forever. On the other hand, a postal money order from Canada got here in a week. Go figure. It sounds like the seller is a loon, or in desperate need of her PMDD meds! I'd say you're well shut of her. |
