You are right! I checked the actual website for the product and it only charges $9.99. I think either the bidders dont know they can get it from a website directly or its just the thrill of bidding and winning an auction.

I know I have won auctions on ebay and found them cheaper online at another website.. but I didnt take the time to search elsewhere, didnt know where to look or didnt have the time to look and there it was on Ebay..LOL

Sometimes someone has paypal existing funds and wants to spend it rather than charge something. Some people dont use credit cards at all so buy from ebay since they have paypal accounts.

I agree with previous poster, it's the thrill of the win. I sold a peeler that I bought about 10 years ago, and received almost the full value that I originally paid for the item. Personally, I would just buy the new one on the vendors sight for a few bucks more.
