I got one too. It is not in my eBay messages, but I believe that it is really from eBay. The email was sent to the email address I use for eBay, it has both my eBay user name and my real name in it, and all of the links in the email go to pages on eBay. The FAQ for the eBay Bucks program is on ebay here: eBay Bucks It says that only accounts that are invited can participate, so if you got invited you are lucky |

The invitation email did not mention an exact % either, but they gave me $5 eBay Bucks just for signing up (which is why I did). I don't buy very much on eBay, but I figured a free $5 to spend in August would be a nice little treat. After signing up, my bucks account said that I would be getting 5% back on purchases. It is a test program so maybe the % back is different for different people. The limited redemption time and the fact that all the reward bucks have to be spend at one time make it less attractive as a rewards program for me. Like any rewards program, it is supposed to encourage more frequent buying. I do not plan to change my buying habits because of this program, but I will enjoy any bonus I happen to earn. |

Thanks pfeffa, I signed up because of the instant coupon you mentioned and was told my bonus is 3%. Would have been more inviting had ebay told this in the invite. Can use the $5.00 coupon code if it comes. |

For those who are wondering if this is really from Ebay or spoof mail, I emailed Ebay & this is their response: Thanks for helping to keep eBay and the Internet safe by reporting suspicious emails. In this case, the email you received is genuine and came from us. |

Yes, I got the invite for the Ebay bucks. I first thought it was possibly a scam, but the next day I received the same note in my ebay inbox, so I signed up. It took me several attempts to sign up for it, but success at last. I believe I read that it begins giving you bucks with purchases on May 15 through August? The amount is 3% of your purchases. I was not aware that you would get a bonus to start out with.

I received the message only in My eBay messages. I even checked my spam mail. I didn't even receive the invite until Friday, didn't see it until Saturday and tried several times during the day and finally had success last night in signing up. I kept getting the dreaded page cannot be displayed error message. I figured the signups were already closed, however, they weren't. And, no, there wasn't a sign up bonus.

The $5 enrollment bonus shows up in my bucks balance when I log in at http://rewards.ebay.com The sign-up bonus was mentioned in my invitation so I thought they were offering it to everyone who was invited. I wonder how many variations they are trying out ![]() My email invitation said: "Earn eBay Bucks for your purchases* -- then get 30 days to splurge!
