Was just cking my messages on ebay and I received a invite to be a power seller. have no clue if this is good or bad. the message was in my messages on ebay so I think its legit. but what are the beneifts of being a power seller? what is the pros and cons? anyone know anything about this?

The best pro IMO is getting up to 15% off your fees if your DSR ratings are good. And also being able to join a program on paypal where you can ship to unconfirmed addresses and still be protected. (the address doesnt have to be confirmed but you still must ship to the address paypal has on file)

I agree the 15% off is a plus - you also get direct access to customer service (Live Chat) You will be sent a special PS page if you accept, there is also a PS community board so you can talk to other PS - If you want to be a power seller for the benefits, but you do not want to let buyers know you're a power seller, you can opt to not have the PS logo by your ID.

hi , im a small power seller. LOL

not much power in my selling .

as a buyer , i like buying from power sellers.
ebay actually tracks power sellers auctions more closely
to make sure they comply with ebay rules.

so as a buyer i like that its kind of a seal of approval
of a higher than normal track record .

since you have to have history and a regular selling dollar on ebay
to be a power seller . you kinda know that its not a fly by night
that wont ship to you adn disappear.

as far as shipping to confirmed address... paypal is doing away
with that requirement to gaurentee a sale . as a seller i like this.
alot of customers will ask me to ship to "moms" address
or to a sister or work address where it is safer. i dont mind
this at all .

i do very much like the customer service being faster and more
there for me.

all in all . it doesnt cost anything and it gives you more credibilty with
your customer. so its a win win .

OH !!

and power sellers aften get more special day sales
jsut a couple of weeks ago we got 10 cent listing day
for power sellers only . that was nice :-)
