| blah. buyer didnt get package
over 2 weeks ago i mailed a package to a buyer in San Diego, CA. I bought my label through paypal, so the tracking info is there in my paypal account. It says it was delivered may 9th (2 days after i sent it). And the address is a confirmed address. So i guess im protected on all those points, just feel bad and dont know what to tell the person who says they didnt get it.. |

Tell them to check with their post office to be sure it's not being held. If you insured it, file a claim. DC will not result in denial. If not insured, read on. If they paid with Paypal funded by a credit card, they can do a chargeback to Paypal through their bank. As long as you followed ALL seller protection rules, Paypal will cover the chargeback and not ask you to repay it. Be sure you followed all rules: 1. Confirmed address 2. Payment marked as eligible for seller protection 3. Delivery confirmation shows delivery 4. Signature confirmation if Paypal payment was $250 or more Paypal will ask you for tracking info. When you supply it, you will have the funds released. |

If you used PayPal shipping, have them look up the payment and shipping information after they log in at www.paypal.com to show them that it was delivered. Then, I'd suggest that they check with neighbors, family members, and/or apartment managers to see if the package was delivered elsewhere. Often, packages mysteriously show up after you have them do the above. |

I sent him an email telling him about the DC and he can log into his paypal account and see that it was delivered. I also told him that it was out of my hands now and he needs to deal with paypal since i did DC to a confirmed address. I got an email from him about 5min later that he 'found' it... Now, its been there since may 9th, how did he find it 5min after i emailed him ? I thought maybe he bought the same thing from another seller and got confused as to whose had arrived, but i dont see him bidding on the same item from anyone else, iof course i dont know if ebay blocks us searching that now. |

weird, cuz he can clearly see from the shipping notice that i have delivery confirmation from the paypal shipping.. ahh well, thought it odd, and was thinking a big city maybe someone stole it off his porch or something. at least he says he found it, altho it did seem fishy to me how quickly he found it. |

I truly believe that some buyers have a form letter that they send out after EVERY eBay purchase with the same line as yours gave you. If they can get even a handful of sellers to give a full refund, they've successfully scammed. Makes me so mad. So glad that he *found* it. It might happen to you again as a seller... I'd advise to follow the same procedure every time. |
