2 questions: Ebay fees and new feedback policy.

Does Ebay charge your paypal account first for listing fees and then at another date for selling fees?

What are you thoughts on the new Ebay feedback policy...I am sure this has been discussed but I did not see it at first glance...I have not been at the boards in awhile.

Important changes to Feedback
Buyers, you can no longer receive negative or neutral Feedback from sellers.

You should leave honest and accurate Feedback without the fear of receiving negative or neutral ratings.

The listing & selling fees are charged to whatever "acct" you want to use (ie, checking, cc, debit) 1 time a month. You have a sellers account on the left side of your ebay page and it will show you when it will be deducted & from where.

cannot even respond to the new feedback policy, as I am not sure I have anything nice to say about it!!!
No way to warn others if there is a npb---what is the point of that??? We can leave neg feedback for people, but sellers can't? Wasn't that what WORKED for ebay for so long????

Ok...thank you for answering...my issue is do they 1st charge for lising fees and then after the auction is completed do they charge for selling fees...
I am helping a friend sell some things and she was charged in May and then in June...recurring fees....
She was concerned that they would charge every month even if she did not sell but I assured you I don't think they do that.

They charge when you list and when you sell.

Maybe she had an auction that started at the end of the billing cycle (and subsequent charging through paypal for listing fees) and the auction ended after the bill was paid, so the next month they had to take her final value fees out?

She should have been charged a listing fee and then a Final Value Fee. If she has a store, she will be charged every month whether she sells anything or not. If she doesn't have a store she will only be charged when she lists an item and then IF the item sells.
