| "I changed my mind," says the new seller.
I can't believe the email I received from a seller regarding an item I won yesterday on eBay. Can you guess this is a new seller, zero feedback? I'm not really sure how to proceed from here. As the email indicates below, the item was below ten bucks, she didn't think she made enough on the suit, and she wants me to forget it. If I pay her I am wondering if she would actually send the suit. Can you imagine if we could all change our minds on selling items on ebay because we didn't make what we were hoping for? "I'm sorry, I did not get what I was hoping for this suit, so I will not be selling at this time. Thank you so much for your interest, though. " |

Seller's Email is in BLUE on the original thread. I filed a NonPerformance report with eBay. (Thank you for your help) Anyway, she saved me ten bucks by not letting me spend it on her suit. She just needs to learn the rules of eBay I think! So would you give her negative feedback for being naive and uneducated in her selling skills on eBay or let eBay send her the rules of selling through the NonPerformance complaint and let her learn that way? She's new, zero feedback.

Did you respond to her email? If not, I would send one and say "I don't think you understand. You agreed to sell me the suit at the winning bid and ebay's rules require you to comply." If she still refuses, I'd neg her big time. It's one thing to be uninformed, it's another to deliberately defy the rules. Of course, a new seller, does she really care? Won't she just start again with a new id? |

I could be way off base here, but from what her statement says.....I don't think she fully understands the way ebay works. She really should have educated herself first before listing....

Yes, I would neg and put as much of her email in the neg response that you can! I'm sorry, can't use newbie, etc. We were all new at one point - and we would never have done that. eBay spells everything out to newbies. Now especially!
