It could be that they left it at the Post Office on Tuesday and it did not get processed until Wednesday.

When I ship something as a seller, It doesnt even show up as accepted at my local town post office at ALL!!! When I take it to a post office by my work it shows up as accepted right away. I would agree that the post office may have processed it the next day themselves..and realize that their backed up after a long weekend of mail backed up. My mail came to my house 2.5 hours later then normal due to the extra mail after an extra day off due to Labor day. Therefore I would not be fast to pick on the seller.

| The item was shipped UPS. I was able to bring up the tracking info just now and it wasn't shipped until Wednesday and the seller told me Tuesday. The seller did lie. The tracking info also indicates when the label was created and that was done Wed morning. When a USPS item has delivery confirmation you can bring up all details by clicking on additional details. This will show when the shipping info is received and it will sometimes show when the item was accepted, processed and left the mailing facility. I've even had a few pkgs scanned along the route before arriving at the delivering facility. Last edited by genichols; 09-04-2008 at 11:18 AM. |

They don't think you are stupid and you shouldn't automatically think they are lying? Like everyone has posted before it was probably dropped off when she stated, but it just wasn't scanned until the next day. You have no way of knowing, so I would give them the benefit of the doubt. It's only one day too, not like she lied about sending it DAYS ago.

I just wanted to chime in on this...albeit a couple of days late. I took an ebay package to drop off (at USPS, not UPS) on the day I said I would mail it. The line at the post office was literally to the door and they were not taking any more customers, as it was 5pm and they close at 5:30pm. All I could do was shrug my shoulders and get the package mailed the next morning. I agree with the other posters...its not like it was multiple days later or anything. I think we have all been in the position of "Life Happens" and had things like this happen to us as both sellers and buyers. Seriously, its not worth sweating and there are a lot bigger issues on Ebay to worry about! |

I ship my UPS packages from a bookstore. The UPS man comes at 1:30 PM... usually. There have been times I've taken my package in at 1:00, only to find out he came early. They go ahead and charge me and take the package, but if they're busy with other things they don't process the label until the next morning.

| The package was posted (or showed that it was) one day later than intended possibly due to no fault on the sellers part and this is considered lying?! And the seller thinks you must be stupid? A defensive attitude is not healthy...as you've noticed. |

where I live I often get the package before it even shows up on the tracking that it has shipped
