Selling Advice....

Good afternoon.

I have a bunch of vintage clothing that I am looking to sell and was wondering if any of you (who do this frequently), would have an idea of the best place (ebay, craigslist?) to sell the clothes. Also, if you have any suggestions on wording, so that the items get a good amount of views, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm charging my camera right now so that I can take detailed pictures of the items...

TIA!

I don't sell, but I do buy frequently on ebay. I bought a great vintage coat recently. It has never occurred to me to check craigslist for vintage clothing, so my thought would be ebay.

Definitely Ebay. Iw ould go to Ebay and do a search for similar clothing, and see how they are titled and if there is a vintage clothing category. Use the word vintage in the title.

I don't really sell much, but I wonder if it might be worth it to wait until the fall to list. Is summer the slowest time of year for Ebay? So many people are going to garage sales looking for their treasures.

As far as Craigslist, I have only looked for big items like furniture. I can't imagine anyone looking at Craigslist for a specialty item.

You can also check out Bonanzle.com (e-mail me a referral link if you are interested - I don't get anything just recognition I referred someone). See my signature. It is FREE to set up your booth with all the items you have for sale and they now have over 60,000 members and adding everyday so we are growing fast. Not as many as eBay but with all the fees eBay hits you with Bonanzle is becoming a good option.

Don't overlook craigslist. I have found good stuff on there. You have to pick through the ads, just like on ebay, some charge way to much for their stuff. But you can find good items. I have bought and sold cars on craigslist and games and other stuff.
