Chicos disincentivizes customers

The following is what I sent to Customer Service and their response. I have also found that Chicos won't allow coupons posted to websites, other than their own. I've not heard of any other retailer doing this.

"Having not received any mailings from Chico's, I stopped in my local store to
check my contact information. It is in the computer, with my birthday month,
January, with no active coupons. I had been looking forward to my special,
birthday mailing. A very customer-friendly clerk said she'd honor the $10 coupon
and that I should call the 888 number on the catalog, to straighten out the
mailings. To my surprise, the 888 lady said I didn't spend ENOUGH money to
qualify. I was shocked as logic tells me that a retailer doesn't penalize a
customer for not spending ENOUGH-I do, after all, spend.

Please remove me from your data base. I prefer to spend my disposable income at
a retailer that incentivizes me-Talbots for example."
