Take The Bite Out With This!

Posted 06-28-2007 at 07:00 AM by mycoupons
Last Saturday, my family and I had been invited over to a friend's house for a little cookout. We had a great time! We ate, chatted and had a few laughs.
Our friends live in a beautiful home surrounded by woods, so by the time it started to get dark, the mosquitoes were out and ready to play. I didn't realize that we would be staying as long as we did, so I did not bring any mosquito repellant.
My friend however, let me in on a secret I never ever heard before.... use fabric softener sheets. I didn't think I had quite heard her right, so I asked "fabric softener sheets"? She replied "Yes, I've been using that instead of buying mosquito repellant spray lately". She said a friend of her's had told her about it. Well I said to myself, this couldn't possibly work, but it did. Imagine fabric softener sheets!
This made me think, what else can fabric softener sheets be used for. Here's what I discovered plus my friend's tip she passed onto me.

To Repel mosquitoes: Take the dryer sheet and rub your legs, arms and face to repel mosquitoes. Or, tie a sheet of fabric softener through a belt loop when outdoors.

Soap Scum on Shower Doors? Clean with a dry sheet. Wet the doors down and take an inexpensive dryer sheet and wipe straight down the wet glass, then rinse.
Protect that Suitcase From Musty Smells: Place an individual sheet of fabric softener sheet inside the empty luggage before storing.
Freshen The Car: Place a sheet of fabric softener under the front seat.
Cat Hair on Your Chair: Rubbing the area with a sheet of fabric softener will magnetically attract all the loose hairs.
Eliminate That Static Electricity From Blinds: Wipe the blinds with a sheet of fabric softener to prevent dust from resettling.
Dirty Laundry Odors? Place an individual sheet of fabric softener at the bottom of a laundry bag or hamper.
Smelly Dog? When your dog comes in wet from outside, just rub your dog down with a dryer sheet
Keep on saving!
