Hello Ghoul-friends!
Tonight is the night of Hallow's Eve.

This Halloween , I would like to remind you all of a few safety tips for our kids that are going to be out and about participating in Halloween festivities in other words Trick or Treating.

Here is my top ten:
*Make sure the costume is short enough to avoid tripping or not going to get entangled with something.
*If possible use hypo-allergenic make-up and hats rather than vision-limiting masks and hoods.
*Make sure your children wear a bright, reflective costume or add a few strips of reflective tape to the front and back of the costume and treat bag so that cars may see them while trick or treating.
*If using your child is using costume props such as toy swords, knives or guns, make sure that they do not appear real and that they are soft to prevent injuries
*Have flashlights with fresh batteries for your child to carry.

*Have at least one adult accompany your child or children while out trick or treating or have one child in the group carry a cell phone and teach them how and when to call 9-1-1 in case of any emergency.

*If your child is going out with friends, discuss safe trick-or-treating and Halloween behaviors.
*Be concientious and clear all tripping hazards from your sidewalk and/or walkway or any other path that children may use to go from house to house.
*Don't allow children to eat any treats that aren't pre-packaged or before you go through their treat bags to filter out any treats you don't want themto have, especially if they have allergies to particular foods.

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!
Annie~
