Tgif

So I was thinking about the saying TGIF. Why are Fridays the treasured day of the week? Did this start when most people worked Monday through Friday so they looked forward to that being the last work day of the week? Now so many people work on the weekends that I wonder what day they look forward to. For me, I'm a stay at home mom(for now)and every day is kind of the same during the summer. Of course when school is in, my kids look forward to the weekend, so Friday is their treasured day. I kind of dread Fridays knowing that Saturday and Sunday I get to hear "stop it", "that's my toy", "don't touch me"!! Yes, that's the sound of my kids being kids, sibling rivalry. Oh well, it's part of life and I can't help but enjoy them even when they act like kids. So for me, I don't know that I have the TGIF feeling, at least not at this point. Now, if I begin working a Monday-Friday job, I bet I'll be the first to say TGIF.
If you've worked all week and can't wait for the weekend with some relaxing, sunning, a little fun, sleeping in, staying up late or whatever the weekend holds for you...TGIF!~~
If you have to work this weekend and Friday's just another day to you.....TGYA(thank goodness you're alive)!~~
Whatever day you look forward to and for whatever reason, enjoy it. Enjoy life, it can change in the blink of an eye. Enjoy your family, enjoy your friends and enjoy EVERY DAY!
