Happy Birthday to my Oldest Daughter

Today my daughter is 9 years old. I cannot believe it. I say this every year. I just remember so clearly the day I found out I was pregnant with her. I remember all the mornings, middays and evenings of being so sick. I remember being totally miserable about the last week of my pregnancy. I felt huge, I walked like a duck, my body was so tired and I couldn't sleep. And then I remember the day she was born. She was almost 2 weeks overdue!! (talk about a stubborn girl) I was induced, went through about 14 hours of labor to be told that I would need a C section. (not only was my girl stubborn but she had a huge head) But the outcome, the pain, the days of sickness, the misery and even the labor and c section were so worth it. She weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.
And today she's a beautiful, strong girl. She's kind and caring, full of love and smiles. She loves to take care of people. She likes to read, watch movies, ride her 4 wheeler, ride her bike, swim and cook. Her interests vary greatly which is one of the many things I love about her. She's mature and looks more mature than I care to admit! She's almost 5 feet tall(I'm only 5'2" and she loves to rub it in that she's almost as tall as me)! She's a straight A student so far and I hope she continues to do so well. She is proud of herself but not to the point that she's rude or obnoxious. She is confident though.
Today, she went swimming at our friend's house. We then went out to eat at one of her favorite places, Red Lobster. She got to pick out dessert, compliments of Red Lobster and they sung happy birthday to her. We then went to Build a Bear where she stuffed a new friend, a bunny she named Isabelle Ann. We then rented some movies, picked up frozen pizzas for later tonight and came home to relax. I must add that we started our birthday celebrations last night. She opened all her gifts and had her cake last night. Tomorrowshe will spend part of the day with her dad to continue her birthday celebrations.
Happy Birthday to my favorite 9 year old! I love you and I'm proud of you. I hope each year of your life brings happiness, good health and special memories.
Oh, to be 9 again~~
