Let the Holiday Season Begin

It's only September but apparently the official notice went out to all the stores that the holiday season shall begin.
As I walked through the Dollar Tree a week or so ago looking for some small prizes for my two daughters classrooms, I see Halloween items out. "Cool", I think. I take a glance or two at what they have realizing that I am doing my 2nd graders Halloween party at school this year and maybe there's something I need. And then I roam around and a couple of aisles over are a few Thanksgiving items. "Hmmm, could this be out earlier than usual", I wonder. But no time to give that another thought. I look for my prizes and "WHOA"........it's Christmas items!! Yes, wrapping paper, a few decorations and ornaments. I stood there like a deer in headlights wondering if I was seeing correctly. Oh yes, I was. And over the course of the next week, I stopped in various other stores like Walmart, Target, Dollar General and they too have the beginnings of Thanksgiving and Christmas items in.
So this left me feeling a little rushed. Should I hurry and buy Halloween items so that I can quickly buy any Thanksgiving items I want or need so that I can in turn buy Christmas items?? I mean if I don't hurry and get what I want, will it all be gone before we even go trick or treating? Oh goodness, I felt so confused that I left all the stores without buying a single item for any holiday.
Is it just me or are the retail stores just getting earlier and earlier with their holiday displays? I know I've thought about how early the stores were displaying Christmas items before but I never remember seeing holiday items for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas before Labor Day!
So in the spirit of promoting an early holiday season, Happy Holidays MyCouponers! LOL!!
