June 9th Should Have Been the Day

That my oldest daughter was born. Yes, this was my original due date. And then at some point in my pregnancy, it was changed to June 12th. I liked June 9th much better. First, 3 days earlier sounded good to me. But most importantly, my maternal grandmother, who I was extremely close to, had passed away on June 9th 3 years earlier. Talk about the circle of life had my daughter been born that day. But my dear, sweet daughter was stubborn and liked her internal home. She wasn't going anywhere until she was forced to. So she was born on June 23. I was induced and finally a few minutes before midnight, my world changed as that beautiful, innocent girl was born by C section.
And that beautiful girl turns 10 this year. TEN....yes, double digits. When did it happen? So starting June 14th I will post something to my oldest daughter every day until her birthday. That will be 10 posts in a row dedicated to her in honor of her 10th birthday.
