10 Years Ago Today I Was....

Well, honestly I don't know what I was doing. It was 10 days before my first child entered the world and changed my life forever. I don't remember exactly what I was doing but I remember some general days. There were doctors appointments, a trip to the hospital thinking I was in labor, looking at the baby clothes I had bought and been given, straightening the room up again, trying to sleep and being unable to, growing bigger and hotter with each June day. There were anxious moments when I just could not wait to see this precious baby that I had carried for all of these weeks. There were nervous moments when I worried that maybe something wouldn't be just right. I knew that if I didn't go into labor on my own, they would induce me and I worried about that. There were smiles and giggles and giddy moments also. Mostly, I was tired of being pregnant and miserable and so excited to meet my new love.
Little did I know then that this little girl of less than 8 lbs. would change my life the moment I saw her. Awwww, though it's been 10 years since she entered my world, I remember that moment, the first time holding her and seeing her as though it were yesterday. I simply cannot imagine life without my sweet Ms. T. She's sensitive, kind, caring. She's funny and crazy silly. She's mature, she's beautiful inside and out. Mostly, she's MINE and I am so lucky and honored to be her mom everyday.
I love you girl! I am proud of the person you are, the girl you were and the young lady you're becoming. There's no other 10 year old that I'd rather be a mom to. You fill my life with good things! I hope you're as proud of yourself as I am of you. Keep working hard in everything you do. Set your goals high for yourself and always be the best you can be. You can do anything you set your mind to do.
