8 Days Before Your Birthday

In honor of your 10th birthday, here are 10 things I love most about you.

1. You can have a conversation with anyone of any age. I've seen you sit and talk to children younger than yourself and then I've seen you have a conversation with someone 60 or 70 years old.
2. You have great manners. You say please and thank you. When someone tells you to have a good day, you tell them to have a good day too. Keep that up!
3. You're very smart. You've made straight A's on your report cards since you've been in school. I hope you continue to work hard, study hard and believe in your ability to do well in school.
4. You're very kind to people. You have a big heart and you love to help people.
5. You're a very loyal person. You're loyal to your family and take up for them when you need to and you're also loyal to your friends.
6. You're competitive. I love this about you. You're not so competitive that you can't have fun but you're competitive enough to push yourself, to be motivated and want to do your best.
7. You're beautiful. Of course, you're beautiful outside but more importantly you're beautiful inside. This relates to your being kind, having a big heart and caring about people.
8. You're out going. I don't think you have a shy bone in your body! I was very shy as a child and I so wished I could have been like you. As an adult, I'm not nearly as shy as I use to be and I so love that quality about you.
9. You don't cause trouble. You don't get in trouble at school and while you may occasionally get in trouble at home, it's nothing serious. You take discipline to heart and learn from your mistakes. You do what you're told and seldom do I have to tell you more than once.
10. You're YOU. You're a leader not a follower. You wear clothes and shoes that you like whether they're stylish or not. You don't care what others think of you. You do want people to like you but you always remain true to yourself.
