4 Days and Still Counting Down

So this is the last weekend that you'll be 9 years old. And you're anxiously awaiting the movie on the Disney Channel, Camp Rock. That's all I've heard about for several days now. It has the Jonas Brothers in it. Between you and your sister, I feel as if I know the Jonas Brothers personally. Or at least I should! Let's see, there's Kevin, Nick and Joe, right? One of them is 18 and doesn't drive. One is 20 and wants to get married soon since his parents got married at around 21 or 22. How am I doing? Oh yeah, and there's a little brother named Frankie who's not part of the band, is that right? Wow....so this is the knowledge of a 9 year old and this is what happens to a mom when they hang around their 7 and 9 year olds!
Other things that a Mom learns when she hangs around her kids:
She learns to love simple things.
She learns to appreciate every day of life.
She learns to not be too uptight about things that really don't matter in life.
She learns that sometimes you MUST eat ice cream for dinner.
She learns that Shout is a wonderful stain remover.
She learns that laughter really is the best medicine.
She learns to share emotions that she always kept hidden before.
She learns to hold her child tight when she needs to and to let go when she has to.
She learns unconditional love.
She learns.....every day!
Ms. T, you and your sister have taught me so much. I didn't even realize how much I could learn from young children. Your humility, generosity, ability to forgive and so much more have taught me that a child has much to offer, many lessons to teach and I continue to grow and learn with you two daily. I love you both for so many reasons and that love grows constantly.
