Only 3 More Days

The last weekend that my daughter will be 9. It's not phasing her at all. It's another weekend, another day to her. She just looks forward to Monday and her presents. She doesn't want a bought cake, since really none of us are big cake eaters. So her sister and I will bake a cake, she'll ooh and ahh over the homemade cake that will be pitiful looking, she'll cut herself a ginormous piece, which she'll take about 2 bites of and then scrape some icing off to eat and the rest will be trashed. The best part of the cake to her?? The candles! I bought some cool candles where the flame is colored the same color as the candle itself. Pretty neat and she loves them. We really don't have special plans for her actual birthday but at some later point, she wants to go to Circus World with some friends to celebrate her birthdy. We will, we'll go but it'll have to wait. She's ok with that and she's still excited to get presents, cake and pizza and made to feel special on her 10th birthday.
Ms. T, enjoy your last weekend as a 9 year old. I hope each day is special to you and you're able to enjoy life to the fullest! But some days are meant to be more special than others. Birthdays are one of those days. So your sister and I will try our best to make Monday a fun day for you. I really think we should go to karate so you can get your birthday spanking there, LOL. I know you think it's funny when other kids get a birthday spanking and so you should humor everyone else and do the same. You've said you don't want to go to karate on your birthday but we really want you to. Guess we'll see how the day goes. Regardless, it'll be a good day.
