The Golden Rule

Posted 10-15-2007 at 09:29 PM by tag1114

I've failed with that many times as probably everyone has. But on a day to day basis, I think that principal is wonderful to apply in our dealings with people. My grandmother always said "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all." As a child, I heard her say that...

A Busy Signal

Posted 10-09-2007 at 08:24 PM by tag1114
This little story reminds me of how far we've come and how many things my kids may never know about because of technology and constant advancement in such.
My 7 year old picked up the telephone to call her friend a few days ago. She came running to me, handing me the phone with the strangest look on her face. A while ago I posted about experiences in my childhood that helped me grow up and want to save money, want to use coupons and really made me aware of how to get the most for my money.

Posted 09-26-2007 at 01:07 PM by tag1114
As I read the post about Breast Cancer Awareness it reminded me of a friend that battled and won breast cancer. I've been out of touch with this friend for a while now but her story, her battle touched my life.
My friend discovered a lump one day in the shower. She wasn't overly concerned because she had found others before that were non cancerous. Her mother and sister had also had non cancerous lumps in the past. But she scheduled a mammogram with no worries. Unfortunately, this time...

Will I Be a New Woman Tomorrow?

Posted 09-23-2007 at 10:42 PM by tag1114
No, I'll be the same woman I am today. I'll still have 2 kids that I adore, a guinea pig that likes to hear me sing and 2 puppies that I'm growing fonder of each day. I'll still have morals and principals that I'm proud of and I'll still have parents who treat me with love and respect and some of the best friends in the world.
But tomorrow I will officially be a free woman, a single woman! Yes tomorrow is the day I will finally make my way to the tiny court house in the tiny town near my...
