Got the news today my mom is being released from the Rehab Center July 1st ! She cant wait to come home.

I took her out yesterday to get her hair done, have lunch at Perkins and took her to the bank and home to pick up some things she wanted, we were gone 5 hours and she did really well I did not have to help her at all to get in and out of the car into the wheelchair.

So July 1st mom comes home and the first week of August we move into our brand spanking new Triplewide on a 1/2 acre lot, that I purchased for the family and will actually own the land. Mom is thrilled about everything and excited to get my DH and DS Stefan down here and she is actually looking forward to the cats coming also, which surprised me.

Mom will continue to get homemaker help and they are also going to do hospice care and its not because she has no time left, its because of her diagnosis and she will need additional therapy when she gets home.

I am thrilled everything has come together so quickly, The home in VA is sold, DH has the moving company coming in July 30th to move everything out. He and Stefan will leave July 31st with the cats, hermit crabs, my scooter and the electronics in tow and then we move into the new house after they get here. I purchased furniture for the living room, got a great deal on a sectional and they are holding until the home is set up on the lot. I already know we are going to have one heck of a yard sale once we get both houses together I am sure there is a lot of duplication and a lot of stuff from VA will not be something I want to keep.

In other news I have a job for tax season and I am going to start selling my crafts at the Flea Market/Craft show on weekends through my mom's current neighbor Kelly and Helen they have sold stuff for me before and they have had people looking for my wreaths and my baby afghans, so this move is going better than I anticipated.

Also you may notice there is no mention of my now 22 yr old son, well he got sent back to VA by plane and he wasn't home 2 hrs before he picked a fight with Stefan and 48 hours before he violated a cardinal rule and did a disappearing act and came home stinking drunk and beligerant at almost midnight. Plus we found out he has been snooping through our bedroom looking for things and showed DS Stefan something that he should not see. So DH sent him packing and some people got upset with him for doing that, but he has been given more chances than we (and others) can continue to give and he has caused so much turmoil since he showed back up on our doorstep in January, we have spent so much time trying to lead him to the right way to live and he just pushes away or expects us to do the legwork for him and we can give no more.

So it will be just us, Mom , the cats and the hermit crabs under one roof, living happily ever after.

Glad your mom gets to come home, but so sorry for all of the drama w/ your son. Glad it is all coming together. p.s. -make sure those hermit crabs get enough water. We sell them at my shop-they are sooo much fun. I think I am bringing all the pink ones home w/ me next week!
