Welllll.....there are some battery-operated appliances that work in the bathtub/shower.....so maybe she was confused. Those appliances don't usually have AC adapters though.

It IS worthy of a Darwin Award because she wasn't 'so young' - she was seventeen and only a year away from adulthood. Seventeen is too old not to have learned that water and electricity don't mix.

On Run's House he usually ends the show by doing a texting type message on his blackberry so maybe she was using some device like that.
