Do you mystery shop for the post office?

I just found out that they have mystery shoppers. If you shop for them, could you PM me with the name of the company you work for?
I'd love to sign up. Also, what are the requirements of the shop?

Thanks if you can help me.

I didn't know that. Interesting. I too would like to find out who has the contract for this.
Thanks.

The reason I know is that DH frequents many POs. One is particulary fussy and never, ever gives you the lowest price even if you ask. He inquired at "his favorite" PO and they told him that the one in ____ is mystery shopped. DH's favorite is not mystery shopped and they are SO nice and helpful. Kind of weird, huh? Anyway, I think it would be fun to see what they really look for, and I love to mystery shop!

Yes I have mystery shopped there. I found it an easy job, the pay is small, but they do pay promptly. I unfortunately haven't done it in a bit and lost the name. I will look through my files.

I also am married to a postal worker (I never did his facility) and know how highly the PO regards the mystery shopper rating. So I felt I was doing an actual service to the PO and to the public.

---We had to mail a package, check out the cleanliness of the PO, the uniforms of those working, the availability of signage and rates, and during service what they asked and how they performed. It was easy.

Thanks rose13! I hope you can find the name for me. I really appreciate it. And, I don't mind doing low pay mystery shops. I do it more as a hobby anyway.

I would like that information also. The post office sub station nearest where I live NEEDS to be mystery shopped. Maybe it might encourage them to be more curteous to the public they are working for.

I've noticed my post office always gives the lowest prices, plus tells me when my package will arrive to it's destination. The other PO quotes me higher rates and never gives me extra info.

BarbM, I don't think it's about being courteous. It's about upselling. Read this:
Postal Editorial

From what I can figure, the POs that give you the lowest rates are not mystery shopped.

Yes, I've mystery shopping them quite a bit but not in a while. I'll see if I can find the company I worked for.

The company mails you a package for you to mail. You are to mail the package at the post office they ask. I've had numerous ones in one day. When you go, you are to look around the post office to see how their instructions are, whether things are stocked property, the signage, friendliness, whether they ask if you wanted insurance, extras, general upkeep of the post office.
