That you can tell your story of why you need assistance in paying for something and people donate to you?
I have a friend who's son was sched. for surgery the last of this summer and she lost her job and insurance. she was laid off cause the company closed and she cant afford the cobra insurance. now the surgery on his ears is cancelled and he cant hear . I remember reading about this site but cant remember the name of it. any clues???

I have heard of wishuponahero as a 'wishing well' and greedyorneedy.com...I also know an online group that refers people to a place called modestneeds.org.
A lady I know from eBay won on one of those two sites, I am not sure which, but she was given special sports equipment she wished for, something for her autistic child. So sometimes they work! Good luck to your friend.

has your friend looked into Cobra now that the government will pay a percentage?

There was a lady on here last year that posted about her son and his girlfriend being hit by a truck and they were both hurt really bad. She posted a link to a website where people could send money. I can't remember what it was but I do remember her asking for money.
