Tooting my own horn!

One of things I'm responsible for at school is the property & inventory. If it costs more that $1000 I have to track it and know where it is at moments notice. It can be difficult because sometimes teachers or staff will move stuff and not tell me.

At any rate, there are over 1000 things on our inventory, most of which are the computers & laptops for the school. We're supposed to be audited every year but because of budget cuts and whatnot it's more like every two years.

I'm on vacation, for the summer but the auditor decided to show up yesterday, so I went in for a few hours and from 9-3 today. Its a PITA but it's my stuff so I want to make sure it's done properly and if there's something missing there's a 99% chance I can find it.

Well, she finished today, and not only was it a perfect audit, with nothing missing, we had no exceptions, which means that I didn't have anything listed in the wrong room or serial numbers screwed up...etc

Yay for me! This type of thing NEVER happens in a school.....well almost never!

Congrats! That is a HUGE task!! Our Title class is in charge of one of the school "COWS" (computers on wheels~ large rolling cart of laptops) and just keeping track of it/them is hard I can't imagine with all you have! WOWZA!!

OMG....I LOVE COWS!! I may have to steal that one. I may get creative and find some cow signs and re-label them.

Ours are white and then we've cut black patches out of....GRRRR my mind is blank!! Not vinyl, but ????? shelf liner! ARG that was hard to remember. LOL

Good job! That is something to be proud of. Obviously you guys did the job right. I am sure one of the reasons that it hardly ever comes out right is pure laziness. Kudos to you!
