My mom's friend is going ga-ga over some sim game online, a farming game. She says she HAS to be home between certain times so she can 'pick her potatoes' and plant trees and stuff. She gets coins and they add up and you can 'buy' bigger tools, farmhouse, set. I think this game is on blogger, but I don't know. Anyone know the name of it? Apparently a lot of people are addicted to it now?

What I don't get though is that I have tons of CD ROMS here, like RCT, The Sims, SimCity, RR Tycoon, Sim Theme Park, etc.... you load the game into your pc and play. THIS other game though, it is online somehow? I'm confused. She said if she can't be home at the right time to pick her plums or whatever, her friend can do it for her?

Does anybody play? Care to explain and share the mystery?

Is it Farmville? I just got an email from a friend on facebook asking me to join and be her neighbor. Haven't checked it out yet tho.

I think its Animal Crossing where there are set times and friends can pick stuff for you

Oh gosh, I have no idea which one my friend is doing, but she was going to send me an invitation, only she doesn't know how to!

Because these games apparently are coming out of sites like myspace, facebook, blogger, etc, is there some reason for that? I mean, are the facebook page owners getting paid or something for playing or when people play for them, like google ads? What is the point? I feel like because they are on social networks, there must be more to it?

i like farm town the best on facebook i think its little more realistic then farmville. Don't care for farmville that much. Farmville is also on facebook.

Some of my friends on Facebook are trying their best to get me to start a farm on Facebook. I told them why on earth would I want a make-believe farm when I have a REAL one to take care of???

Its easier? lol I much rather play this then own real farm lol but thats just me.

Farmtown is on facebook. You can get more "stuff" if you have more neighbors in the game.
