Question How to remove sticky sticker residue on laptop?

I finally removed the thick AMD stickers that were on the inside surface of my laptop. There were 2 stickers--one came off easily, no residue, and the other was thicker and left a very tacky and sticky residue. Now my hands rubs against this stickiness, and in a few days, I'm sure it'll start to darken as it gets dirty. What can I use to safely remove it without damaging my new laptop?

And what do you guys use to clean your laptop screen? This is my first laptop, and I just paid off on my credit card it (phew, YAY!) and I want to take good care of it.

Goo gone
Cleaner | Goo Gone | Walgreens

As you can see it's available at Walgreen's so probably Rite Aid CVS and all the others also. Works well. I found it at $ Tree once.

I don't have any baby oil on hand...... that should be easy enough to find anywhere though. I guess mineral oil would work too?

WD-40. I use an eye glass cleaning cloth and spray to clean my screen. Three members of my family wear glasses so it's something that we have on hand.

Yep, I second the Goo Gone. I always buy a few bottles at the Dollar Tree...it's almost $4 a bottle in Publix for the same size bottle. Good luck. ~Lisa

I love Goo B Gone. I buy it in large bottles, with kids t really comes in handy! If I don't have it on hand for some reason I use some juice from a citrus fruit, whether it be a lemon, lime, orange, etc.

A lemon will work? The citric acid won't mar the shiny silver surface of my laptop? One time, I accidentally sprayed some bugspray (was it OFF! maybe?) near my desktop monitor, and I had just bought this pc about 4 months earlier.. The spray ATE UP the plastic on my monitor! It made it pockmarked. And UGLY. Boy, was I MAD!!!!!!!!!! I RUINED my pretty new monitor. So I am scared to death to ruin my new laptop, my new toy that I worked for years to save up for. Know what I mean, jellybean? :-)

I've used Goo Gone on the plastic cases of the MacBooks at school, so it's safe on plastic.
