I got an email the other day that I was chosen as an alternate winner for a contest I entered from Atlanta Motor Speedway. I was one of 35 winners that would ride the Goliath roller coaster with NASCAR Sprint Cup driver David Ragan at Six Flags over Georgia. I had to pay to park, but they paid for our admission tickets. Since I was an alternate, it was very short notice (the day before the event). I debated whether I should go or not since I hate driving out on the Perimeter. Long story short, I decided to go and take my 13 year old son. When we got there we each had to draw a number from a box. Whoever drew the number one would get to sit next to David Ragan. They said that I could let my son ride instead of myself. They told us that only the winners, not the guests, would be able to ride. About fifteen people had already picked before they called our name and no one had picked the number one yet. I let my son pick and he picked the number one! He got to sit next to David! He was really happy. There ended up being extra room on the coaster so they let some of us also ride in the back. Afterwards we got a meet and greet with David where he signed autographs and posed for pictures. It was also sponsored by Coca-Cola so we got some free Cokes to drink. It was REALLY hot out there on Thursday, but we had a great time. Afterwards, we got to stay in the park all day. It was nice to spend some time with my son, although I'm sure he would have preferred having one of his friends along instead. Oh well. He was a good sport and enjoyed going on all of the coasters. I went on four with him...Goliath, Batman, Superman, and Mindbender. That was more than I could take! After that, he was on his own! They posted pictures on the website which I'll post below. There was also a video on the local news which I'll also post below. David was the nicest guy...really down to earth and very nice to his fans. Go #6 UPS! ~Lisa

Wow that was pretty cool. I am not sure I coulda taken any of the coasters tho, they tend to make me queasy. I bet it was a fun day for both of you!!

Thanks..Yes, my son is next to him. The day afterwards, I made him get a haircut! It was so long! It looks much better now! I'm also in one of the pictures with David and my son...I love Tony too! ~Lisa
